Glanageenty Walkways Fun Walk

Tralee Local Area Advisory Committee in association Tralee International Resource Centre (T.I.R.C) organised a fun walk recently in Glanagennty woods.

A great day was had by all. A special thanks to the members of the Rural Social Schemme (RSS) Team, John Lenihan, Pat O’Connell, and John Kelly for all their help on the day. The guys maintain this wonderful amenity weekly and know it like the back of their hand. The Glanageenty Walkways were the first recipients of the Community Vibrancy Recognition Award.

We would also like to thank Kathleen Herlihy for providing homemade scones and tea & coffee on arrival. Thanks to John Lenihan (RSS) for the slow jog around the woods and for explaining the history of the woods and to Pat O’Connell (RSS) for his accordion playing.

Finally a special thanks to Zaid and Mary of Tralee International Resource Centre for organising the fun walk.
